New Halocal Software Launched

We have just launched a Halocal Stats Updater for Windows. We currently have over 50,000 members and to keep their stats updating daily is pretty much impossible at this point. So, this software allows you to easily update your stats daily, along with 4 of your friends. It runs in your system tray and updates your Halocal stats daily.

You've asked for them frequently and now you are about to receive them. Halo Signatures! YEAAAAH! We currently just have one layout for the signatures. However, if they are well received then we will add different layout options. Such as customized stats to show, your Halocal ranks, different background images, etc.

So, go get you Sigs' would ya! They're as simple as this...

Social Update-o-rama

Just wanted to write a quick post on our latest update. We have just uploaded the following additions...

• Profile Messaging Options
  
  
• Send Message
• Send Friend Request
• Send Game Request/Invite : "Wanna Play?"
  
• Send Props' : "You're Awesome!"
  
• Post Comments to Gamer's Comment Board
  
  
• New My Account Layout and Sections
  
  
• New Tab "My Friends"
  You'll notice that we moved where you manage your friends to its own tab labeled "My Friends."
  
  
• New Tab "My Inbox"
  With the new messaging options in the profiles, this is where you'll read all your incoming fan mail. Also, you can send new messages out from this section.
  
  
• New Tab "Blocked Gamers"
  With the new messaging options comes the possibility of annoying messages or spam. Use the Blocked Gamers tab to manage who you what to "leave you the heck alone!"
  
  
  
• Design Tweaks
  We also tweaked the look of a the site a bit. You'll notice a few new snazzy backgrounds here and there. Also, there's a "My Friends" Menu Item in the nav bar which appears when you login. When hovering over the MyFriends menu, you'll get a dropdown of links to your friends' profiles.

Hello World

Well, if you haven't noticed already, then I'm here to let you know. Halocal.com now allows for registrations worldwide. We had a lot of requests from our friends "across the pond" for a UK leaderboard. Then, we figured while we were at it, we should let everyone in on the fun. So, you should notice on the Nationwide Halo stats page the country dropdown is now rather full. Also, on the Zip/City search there is a sub-tab for International Search for PostCodes and City/Country searches.

New Features: Videos And More!

Us geeks in the Halocal Labs are been hard at work to bring more functionality to the site. We have just uploaded the following updates

• User Videos
  You can now add your favorite videos of you kicking Halo-butt from YouTube. Just upload the video to YouTube. Then, go to your MyAccount page and add the YouTube link. Your videos will be embedded and viewable right in your Halo Profile page.
  
  
  
• More Detailed "Local Competition" Leaderboard
  You should notice a new tab under Halo 3 Stats labeled Gamer vs. Local. You can enter in a GamerTag and see how they rank in their neighborhood. You can also search within a radius of 50, 100 and 150 miles. Their is now a link in each Gamer's Halo Profile to view their detailed Local Competition Leaderboard.
  
  
  
• More Detailed "Versus Friends" Leaderboard
  You will also notice a new tab under Halo 3 Stats labeled Gamer vs. Friends. You can enter in a GamerTag and see how they rank versus their friends. Their is also a link in each Gamer's Halo Profile to view their detailed Versus Friends Leaderboard.
  
  
• Add KpG (Kills per Game) to Leaderboards
  The Halo 3 Stats sections now have a column for KpG (Kills per Game). Adding yet another thing for you to brag about on the forums.

Oh Canada!

Ok, I've been pushing myself to get this done and live. You can now register if your in Canada. Sorry for the wait all you wonderful-beer-making-friends of the north. Please alert me if any funky issues are happening with this update.

You should now notice that "State" dropdowns have Provinces in them as well. Also, the USA tabs now say National or Nation. Within them you should be able to select USA+CAN, USA or CAN.

Image Upload Issue Corrected

I was noticing some issues with adding a profile photo. Thanks to everyone that found a work-around to this. The logic to check file size was wrong. Sorry about that. Should be fixed now.
